I travelled from South London to Newcastle to test drive & buy a car. Prior to my visit I had a FaceTime call where they showed me the car in detail, and they were super honest with pointing out any minor blemishes (20 yr old vehicle) and making sure that I was satisfied. Upon arrival to Newcastle, they picked me up from the station. They were outside the station 20 minutes early - punctual and polite. At first I wasn't going to buy from a company 300 miles away... for obvious reasons.. but they had hundreds of reviews and a high rating so I thought i'd give it a shot. I'm thankful that I did because rest assured these guys are the REAL DEAL. Super polite, tremendously willing to answer all of my questions and forthrightly honest, these guys are hard to beat. Would I recommend 1st gear motors? Absolutely.

Purchased a car from this dealer 11th February, it broke down due to overheating in 18th February and dealer fixed it. However since then, two separate faults have emerged and one of them was due to spark plugs and oil leaking into engine, tip of one plug was completely missing and concern about where that debris was in the engine. Dealer stamped service book but clearly hadn’t checked spark plugs or much else for that matter. Engine light on again, wonder what problem will be this time! Dealer not bothered at all, despite sending emails to him. Avoid this company. they are an absolute joke
